Linocut, Gyotaku, and Collage
In simplified terms, printmaking is the transfer of an image from one painted surface to another.
.
Prints are cut out, hand colored, and saved for future collage purposes.

"Aqua Trip" was inspired by a gyotaku print of an Ahi Tuna.

"Honu" prints are created by inking the block and pressing by hand with various types of papers.

Working in large format

Nobu He'e is a gyotaku print from a very large Hawaiian octopus, also known as Tako.

In the traditional style, prints are signed with my personal flying fish seal.

Linocut Carving

After the carving is completed, it is painted and pressed with handmade papers.
